Reformed rapper calls out 12 false teachers

In the pre-released single “Fal$e Teacher$,” Linne calls out Joel Osteen, Creflo Dollar, T.D. Jakes, and Joyce Meyer, among others, for making “bogus statements, [and being] financially motivated.” In the song, Linne says, “Don’t be deceived by this funny biz, if you come to Jesus for money, then he’s not your God, money is! Jesus is not a means to an end, the Gospel is He came to redeem us from sin, and that is the message forever I yell! If you’re living your best life now you’re heading for hell!”

Jackie Robinson and the pattern of Jesus

Many tellings of the Robinson-Branch story omit the importance of their shared Christian faith, but a few biographers have endeavored to draw this out. “Robinson was a Christian [and] his Christian faith was at the very center of his decision to accept Branch Rickey’s invitation to play for the all-white Brooklyn Dodgers. . . . Branch Rickey himself was a Bible-thumping Methodist whose faith led him to find an African American ballplayer to break the color barrier. . . .[A]t the center of one of the most important civil rights stories in America [lies] two men of passionate Christian faith.”

Failure of the Arab Spring: anti-semitism

In my view, one reason why the Arab Spring succeeded in toppling old dictatorships but didn’t succeed in replacing them with genuine democracy was that narrow-mindedness kept the uprisings’ leadership and supporters from harnessing all existing potential. Instead of dealing with root causes of the problems, they preferred to choose a simplistic answer and solution for all unresolved issues. They had a “one size fits all” diagnosis with a single prescription for all ills: whenever there is a mess, a dilemma or a complicated situation, just point a finger at Israel and the Jews.

Your kids belong to us

And as mother to two squawky toddlers, I get intensely irritated whenever anyone uses the phrase “our children.” “No,” I instantly think. “These are not your children. You sacrificed nothing for these tiny tyrants, and I’ve given them my own body and blood, as did Jesus in a far greater way. If you want a child, get your own and MYOB.”

Attorney General sues florist for refusing gay wedding

“As Attorney General, it is my job to enforce the laws of the state of Washington,” said Ferguson.  “Under the Consumer Protection Act, it is unlawful to discriminate against customers based on sexual orientation.  If a business provides a product or service to opposite-sex couples for their weddings, then it must provide same sex couples the same product or service.”
